Adopt an Orca

Orcas are the most widely distributed mammals in the world, after humans. They live in all oceans, from the coasts to the open sea, and can thrive in nearly any condition. Like humans, orcas form complex social structures that vary from group to group. Individuals in these groups are often related to each other, and older orcas will teach younger one's skills in hunting and parenting.
Despite also being called “killer whales,” orcas are the largest species in the dolphin family! Unfortunately, they are increasingly competing with humans for food as overfishing depletes favorite prey items like salmon or tuna.
When you make a symbolic adoption, your donation powers Oceana’s campaigns around the world to create responsible fishing policy and stop overfishing.
