These wide-ranging sharks are easily identifiable as each fin, appears to have had the point dipped in black paint. They are schooling sharks, sometimes gathering in the thousands, and will swim near the surface in shallow waters, which makes for quite the sight! Blacktip sharks primarily eat fish, and when a school of these sharks encounters a large concentration of baitfish, a feeding frenzy can erupt!
