Saltwater crocodiles have the strongest bite in the animal kingdom! The largest reptile alive today, these crocodiless can slam their jaws shut with a bite force of 3,700 pounds per square inch. They use such strength to prey on a wide range of animals from aquatic crustaceans and fish to large land mammals. They make for a fearsome predator! While adult saltwater crocodiles spend much of their time in saltwater, they breed in freshwater areas where the females normally lay around 50 to 60 eggs per clutch. Though sometimes fertile can lay as many as 90 eggs!
